Working with Colors - Tie & Dye

The process of Tie-Dye typically consists of folding, twisting, pleating, gathering or crumpling fabric or a garment and binding with string followed by application of dye.

The process of the fabric prior to application of dye are called resists, as they partially or completely prevent the applied dye from coloring the fabric.

Dear Readers,

Welcome to Craft & Creativity...

Everybody is creative in some way...some have the talent for it, some do it by necessity...In my case, (If I may say so myself) it's both :-)

Earlier in my school days, we had art/craft classes once a week. It was more on a "have-to-do" basis because the marks in art would add to your total marks at the end of the academic year. In our school, this class was called S.U.P.W. Many of my friends expanded it as "Some Useful Period Wasted".

I remember in 8th grade, we were taught knitting & were asked to complete knitting a baby set ( sweater, cap & booties) by the end of the academic year. I managed to knit the cap & booties myself. But had a hard time finishing the sweater, which later my grandmother helped finish for me.

Now, being a mother of two, it has become more of a necessity to be creative. I also enjoy doing these little things while puts a smile on my child's face...it also helps to stay within budget :-)

So, here am sharing some of my ideas & hoping to learn something new from my readers...Hope you enjoy reading this blog & share your thoughts & ideas with me & other readers...
