Head/Hair Bands

My daughter recently developed a liking towards head/hair bands....not the strechable ones but the solid plastic ones. We looked for them in the store a few days back. We saw a few which I felt looked quite OK...but not her!!! She wanted some fancy ones. We didnt find any to her liking. Finally we bought the plain, simple ones. She wasnt too happy about it, but I promised her that I would do something to make it look a little "less simple".

This is where some stickers & other little items from my craft collection came to my rescue.

The result??? She loved the head/hair bands & she now chooses one each day that matches with the color of her clothes.

Dear Readers,

Welcome to Craft & Creativity...

Everybody is creative in some way...some have the talent for it, some do it by necessity...In my case, (If I may say so myself) it's both :-)

Earlier in my school days, we had art/craft classes once a week. It was more on a "have-to-do" basis because the marks in art would add to your total marks at the end of the academic year. In our school, this class was called S.U.P.W. Many of my friends expanded it as "Some Useful Period Wasted".

I remember in 8th grade, we were taught knitting & were asked to complete knitting a baby set ( sweater, cap & booties) by the end of the academic year. I managed to knit the cap & booties myself. But had a hard time finishing the sweater, which later my grandmother helped finish for me.

Now, being a mother of two, it has become more of a necessity to be creative. I also enjoy doing these little things while puts a smile on my child's face...it also helps to stay within budget :-)

So, here am sharing some of my ideas & hoping to learn something new from my readers...Hope you enjoy reading this blog & share your thoughts & ideas with me & other readers...
